The SJP 500 Club members are assigned a number between 000 and 499. Monthly dues are $5.00 per number (members may have multiple numbers). Numbers can be changed at any time. Membership is open to anyone; they need not be a parishioner of St. John’s Catholic Church. A monthly drawing is held for 8 prizes totaling $1,000.00. The drawing is held the third Thursday of each month after the 8:30 AM Mass. Membership dues MUST be received before the time of the drawing. The Post Office does not process Thursday’s mail until later in the morning so have your payment in by Wednesday. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LATE MAIL!! Please consider paying your dues one month in advance. Or we offer a special where you pay for 11 months ($55.00) and get the 12th month free. Only members whose dues are paid for that month will be eligible to win prizes. The drawing itself is conducted by three individual people picking numbers from three separate bowls. The first bowl contains 5 wooden balls with numbers 0 thru 4. The second and third bowls contain 10 balls with numbers 0 thru 9. A three digit number is the result. The book of payments is checked to see if this number is paid. If the number is unpaid or unassigned then another three digit number is drawn. The same number can be drawn more than once! All are welcome to join us for the drawing. Winners receive their check in the mail. The monthly newsletter gives the winners’ list. Dues may be dropped in the collection basket at church or mailed to: SJP 500 Club, P. O. Box 190, Highland Springs, VA. 23075-0190. SJP 500 club envelopes are available in the back of church. If you pay your dues for three months or more at a time you will receive a reminder either by phone or email when your dues need paid.
